Va I Moana is located on the Northern tip of Savai’i, an hour and 40 minutes drive from the Salelologa Ferry Terminal.
The lodge is fairly basic with a restaurant & bar, a shared lounge area with TV and a small library, an activities station, and a tour desk. It is an appealing choice for those who don’t mind simplicity and are looking for an affordable escape, with a comfortable room.
The Waterfront Villas are stand-alone and are located on the waters edge. These rooms are fitted with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, an en-suite with cold water shower, and a mini fridge. Each of the villas have spectacular views to the ocean from their bed and private balcony.
The Tuimoana Suites & Family Suites are located within the grounds of the property, they are spacious and have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, an ensuite with hot and cold water shower, and a mini fridge.
Immerse yourself in the Samoan culture and explore the authenticity of this island paradise. At Va I Moana they offer a number of half and full day guided tours. To name a few, the Village Walk and the School Visit Tours are a great way to meet the locals and learn of their way of life. There are also tours to the popular tourist attractions, and a Koko Tour.
You’ll enjoy the Umu & Cultural demonstrations which is held every Friday, provided minimum numbers are met and there are no pre-planned events that day.
The property has its own fishing boat which supplies their restaurant with the freshest of seafood. They also operate fishing charters and tours to an uninhabited off-shore island – a great way to experience Samoa further. There is some great snorkelling, and kayaking to be enjoyed in the bay, venture into its underwater world and be fascinated by its rich marine life.
