Raie Manta Club Tikehau/Tikehau Plongee Initiation Dive

Located at the heart of Tikehau village, near the marina and Henriette grocery store, key location of the island, TIKEHAU PLONGEE offers great initiation dive. If the weather conditions are met, the dive will take place ocean side, where you will be able to see napoleons, turtles and kingfish. For 45 minutes and at a depth of 6 meters maximum, you thrive in water, accompanied by your dive instructor


Meet your instructor at the reception of the diving center or get picked up from your pension. Your instructor will provide your diving gear. He will show you how to use it and explain all the safety instructions along with showing you a few simple signs to communicate under water. Listen carefully to your instructors directions. The introduction takes place at a maximum depth of 0 to 6 metres, and lasts about 45minutes, with a maximum of 2 beginners per instructor. Clients dive in the morning ocean side among napoleons, turtles and kigfish. The instructor will stay by your side throughout the dive and will assist you, guide you and show you the site’s features of interest.

Important Remarks

Itinerary and order of the visited sites may change without prior notice according to weather conditions or other circumstances. Most excursions require healthy conditions. Pregnant women/disabled guests/babies… our services must be notified in advance!

Our water activities require guests to know how to swim, to be comfortable in the water, and able to cope with occasional currents. Guests are cautioned not to touch or step on the coral reef, or touch any underwater animals for safety and environmental reasons. We recommend reef shoes in order to avoid any wounds or discomfort. Wildlife sightings are likely but never guaranteed. 

All tours have been regularly tried out in order to give the most accurate information and advice. Each guest should carefully review the tour description to evaluate its own physical limits.

Guests are recommended to wear comfortable appropriate attire including shoes (walking, water or hiking as needed), sun protection (cream, hat, and rash guard), insect repellent, sunglasses, and bring a bottle of water.
