Have a once in a lifetime experience and get up close and personal with these incredible mammals. Whales come to Polynesia’s warm waters from August to November to give birth. You will see the whales jump out of the water and slap the water’s surface with their tails. The animals’ welfare is a priority and during the trip the whales must not be rightened or injured. Learn all about them from your expert guide who will also advise you if you can get in the water with the whales or not.
From August to November, Humpback whales come into Polynesian waters to reproduce and give birth. An encounter with these cetaceans is always memorable: If you are lucky enough, brilliant moments awaits you such such as their spectacular breath, their extraordinary jumps part of their courting, complicity between a mother and its youth. Our water activities require guests to know how to swim, to be comfortable in the water, and able to cope with occasional currents. Guests are cautioned not to touch or step on the coral reef, or touch any underwater animals for safety and environmental reasons.
We recommend reef shoes in order to avoid any wounds or discomfort. Wildlife sightings are likely but never guaranteed.
All tours have been regularly tried out in order to give the most accurate information and advice. Each guest should carefully review the tour description to evaluate its own physical limits.
