Papeete Street Art Tour- 01H30
ONO’U International Street Art Festival became a not to be missed urban culture event since its creation in 2014. More than 30 murals now embellish the city’s walls bringing modernity to Papeete where a few grey walls earned a second life. You will discover no less than 25 murals during this guided walking tour in the streets of the city, the story of their creation and the artists who painted them.
Highlights
The starting point of the tour is rue Jeanne D’Arc, in front of the “Octopus” sculpture of artist Bordalo II. The walk begins through the streets of the city to discover 25 murals among the most significant created during the various editions of the Tahiti Ono’u Festival between 2014 and 2017.
Anecdotes, history of the murals and the different international artists … you will learn a lot about this modern and original festival.
