Marotea Cultural Experience - Half Day (Lunch Included)

Immerse yourself in the heart of Polynesian culture by introducing yourself to ancestral traditions such as dance, public speaking, music, braiding or tapa making … Supervised by recognized experts in each activity, discover 4 workshops before savouring the traditional “ma’a Tahiti”.

Highlights

Participants are welcomed with the traditional ‘Orero speech. 

The 4 selected workshops are organized in the morning punctuated by coffee breaks (non-alcoholic drinks at will) and a snack (sweet / salty snacks made from local seasonal products). The morning end with a “ma’a Tahiti” lunch. 

List of workshops available: Tapa 1h, More 20min (dance skirt decoration), Dyeing 30min, Pa’eore 25min (pandanus waving), Hei Tiare 25min (flower leis), Ni’au 25min (coconut leave waiving), Fa’a’apu 30min (farming), ‘Ahi 20min (making fire), Ti’a’iri 15min (torch), ‘Uru 30min (bread fruit wood fire cooking), Cooking 50min (preparation of 1 local dish), Ha’ari 30min (coconut), Mono’i 45min, To’ere 45min (traditional musical instrument), ‘Ori Tahiti 1h (2 different workshops for beginners or experienced dancers), Himene 40min (singing). Practical Info

Inclusions – 4 workshops selected by the cultural center according to guests requests and speakers/teachers availabilities, coffee break and snacks, lunch (ma’a Tahiti), a souvenir 

Schedules (transfer time from hotels not taken into account) – Morning tour only 09h00 – 13h30 

Pick-up / Drop-Off – !Transfers to the cultural center NOT INCLUDED! We suggest to rent a car or book a taxi.

Most excursions require healthy conditions. Pregnant women/disabled guests/babies… our services must be notified in advance!

All tours have been regularly tried out in order to give the most accurate information and advice. Each guest should carefully review the tour description to evaluate its own physical limits.
