Onboard, Nahuma will be telling you about the whales and their daily environnement, rules to obey during the expedition specially when in the water approaching the whales. Important Remarks

Sighting whales at each excursion is of course not guaranteed. No reimbursement should be expected in this case either. Please note that the whale watching activity is authorized by snorkeling only (no scuba-diving). We recommend this activity only to good swimmers as whale watching is always in open waters.

Weather : The Australes Archipelago is blessed with a slightly cooler climate than the Society archipelago. From July to October, air and water temperature oscillate between 20 and 24 °C. While summer clothing is fine for the daytime hours, warmer clothing is necessary at night. Rain gear should be provided during outings. The swell can be rough during the whale watching season. We recommend that customers prone to Seasickness acquire the adequate preventive products.

Our water activities require guests to know how to swim, to be comfortable in the water, and able to cope with occasional currents. Guests are cautioned not to touch or step on the coral reef, or touch any underwater animals for safety and environmental reasons. We recommend reef shoes in order to avoid any wounds or discomfort. Wildlife sightings are likely but never guaranteed.

All tours have been regularly tried out in order to give the most accurate information and advice. Each guest should carefully review the tour description to evaluate its own physical limits.

Guests are recommended to wear comfortable appropriate attire including shoes (walking, water or hiking as needed), sun protection (cream, hat, and rash guard), insect repellent, sunglasses, and bring a bottle of water.
