This little slice of paradise is an unspoiled stretch of beach forming the gateway to the Yasawas. The Kuata Island’s Eco-Lodge is now located where Fijian warriors once protected the ragged volcanic coastline. The resort is ecologically sensitive, using design principles that pay tribute to the island’s rich Fijian heritage. The surrounding coastline has been declared a marine park and offers many diverse ecosystems to explore; from craggy rock pools to pristine coral reefs and sandy white beaches.
How to Get There
Catamaran Launch Transfers – Awesome Adventures Yasawa Flyer Catamaran departs daily from Port Denarau and takes approximately 2.5 hours one way.
Seaplane – Pacific Island Air Seaplanes on demand from Nadi and Denarau Island and take approximately 30 minutes each way
(weather dependent).

The official re-opening date for Barefoot Kuata Island has been postponed until July 1st, 2022.
Mandatory Island Package
Barefoot Kuata has a mandatory Island package of approximately FJD119.00 per person per day and FJD60.00 per child (5-12years) which must be pre-booked or booked and paid directly at the resort. Resort package cost is approximate only and can change without any notice. Resort package includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, free Wi-Fi and free use of non- motorized water sports equipment (excluding dive). Lunch is included on the day of arrival before 1.00 pm however in the event of an early/ late departure lunch will incur an additional cost.

Additional Information
Barefoot Kauta is eco inspired and is trying to alleviate the unnecessary use of plastic. Therefore, we do not offer straws for all beverages and request guests do not bring bottled water to the island. Desalinated drinking water is available 24 hours from the bar/restaurant area. Bottled water is available to purchase on the Barefoot Kuata Wayalailai Island Yasawa Island, Fiji Islands island should this be guest preference.

Child Policy
Children 0 to 4 years of age are free of charge for accommodation and resort package.
Children 5 to 12 years at child rate.
Children over 13 years at adult rate.
Payment Policy
A 50% of booking fee is payable upon confirmation of a booking.
Balance of payment is required 30 days prior to the arrival date.
100% full payment is required for bookings made within 30 days of arrival date.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings cancelled within 30 days prior to arrival will incur a charge of 50% of the total booking value.
Bookings cancelled within 14 days prior to arrival (including no shows) will incur a charge of 100% of the total booking value.
