Introduction
Location: Hawaii​​

Hawaii consists of eight main islands Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, Kahoolawe, Lanai, Molokai, Kauai, and Niihau. It is the only USA state located in Oceania. It is positioned north of the equator, in the Northern hemisphere.

History​

Around 1778, Captain James Cook was the first foreign man to visit the Hawaiian Islands. He named them “Sandwich Islands”. The indigenous people thought he was one of their gods. Kamehameha unified the islands of Hawaii in 1782. The United States signed a treaty of friendship, the agreement covered trade and navigation. The only major event which shacked Hawaii was World War 2. On December 7, 1941, Japanese stroke a surprise air attack on the US Navy base at Pearl Harbor. Hawaii was admitted to the Union in 1959, as the last state of the United States. 

Weather

The climate is warm all year round; the temperatures fluctuate from 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the cool months to 85 degrees Fahrenheit in the hotter months. Hawaii is positioned below the tropical zone, therefore the raining season usually lasts from November to March and a dry season starts around April and lasts until the end of  October. The peak season for the arrival of tourists is during winter months – September to January. During the summer season (June to August) is when tourists also come to enjoy the nice tropical weather.

Tourism

Tourist come from all around the world to the beautiful islands of Hawaii. Hawaii has so much to offer to satisfy any travelers’ interest. Enjoying   an authentic Luau show with dinner, walking along the shorelines on the white sand, snorkeling in the crystal clear waters to explore the coral reefs. For the daredevils, the top destination on Hawaii is the SkyDrive, exploring the island of Oahu, or climb into a shark cage and feed sharks. For travelers looking for relaxation, there are wellness centers or they can simply be rocked to sleep by the gentle breeze of the ocean, in a hammock on the beach. For young travelers, there are water-themed parks with different levels of slides and tunnels to explore. For more of an educational explorations,  Hawaii features a zoo, the aquariums, the hiking trails with tour guides who give them information on the surrounding environment, and historical landmarks. They can also join the Kumu (a school for learning Hawaiian traditional dances ).

The population of Hawaii is about 1,400,000 people. They host around  5 million visitors a year. Tourism makes up about 21% of the state’s economy. The average stay for a guest lasts from five to ten days. The official currency used in Hawaii is the US dollar.

Hawaii offers many interesting activities, but sometimes there is not enough time to do them all. Nevertheless, there is always a chance to spend a day of adventure like deep sea fishing out in the open Pacific, hike up the Lanikai Pillbox to catch the sunrise, take a wet selfie in Manoa Falls, ATV through famous movie sets at Kualoa Ranch, relax at the award Moana Lani Spa, tour the historic grounds of USS Arizona Memorial, and get the chance to participate in an authentic Hawaiian Luau at the Polynesia Cultural Center.

Itinerary

3 Days of Fun in Hawaii: Couples Itinerary

Day 1:

Morning: USS Arizona Memorial Price $50

The USS Arizona Memorial is a huge memorial honoring the men and women who died during the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. Besides the memorial tourists can learn more by visiting the Pacific Aviation Museum show chasing massive WW2 air fighters, and the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park and to try out the VR headset trip diving in a submarine. The USS Arizona Memorial takes about 75 minutes for a complete tour. The first part of the tour is watching a presentation on what occurred at Pearl Harbor and the second one is boarding a small boat to sail to the stand-alone memorial set.

Afternoon Polynesian Cultural Center Price $128

After a short morning walk, the guests head back to the hotel to freshen up. They are picked up by a driver who will take them to a two-hour drive to PCC at the North shore.  The tourists can enjoy the tropical scenery along the way. Upon arrival at the PCC, there is a chance to explore all the 42 acres including six Polynesian islands with their unique shows. The visitors are provided with a lunch package with an authentic Hawaiian Luau (buffet). The visit is ended by their award-winning night show “Ha Breathe of Life”

Day 2:

Morning Open-Door Helicopter Tour over Oahu

The tourists have an opportunity to fly over the island of Oahu. You can choose to be picked up at the hotel by landing on the helipad on the rooftop of the hotel. The trip takes about one hour to an hour and a half. The time is usually spent enjoying the beautiful sights of Oahu, the beaches, waterfalls, Halona Blowhole, Diamond Head, and many more.

 

Afternoon Kualoa Ranch

Towards the mid-east of the island, there is a Kualoa Ranch situated on the 4,000-acre ranch where you can have a tour on a vintage bus to see the familiar movie sets such as Jurassic Park, Godzilla, King Kong, and Jumanji. The tour takes about one hour to complete, and afterward, you can have lunch at their restaurant that uses freshly grown products. 

Day 3:

Morning Waikiki Trolley Hop-On Hop-Off Tour  Price $45 (for one day pass)

A cheap way to explore Waikiki is to take the Trolley. You will not stress over finding parking downtown or finding proper spots where the locals eat. Take advantage of sightseeing from the top of the double-decker bus. The open bus roof allows you to take pictures from the best viewing angle.

Afternoon Rock-A-Hula  Price $149 (Stage side VIP)

End the night by watching the hottest show on the Waikiki strip the Rock-A-Hula. Enjoy the historic building of the Royal Hawaiian Theater. With the Stage side pass you are allowed to a 4-course Steak and Lobster dinner at your own private table. And while watching a great show from the best seats in the house you will be able to meet and greet the cast members of the show!
